to the Grand Lodge
of the
Society of United Fisherman

We whose names are hereunto subscuted, members of the Burin Lodge S.U.F. desire to express to you our views with
respect to the proposed scheme of establishing a branch of the Savings Bank in this settlement. Your circular
with the lecture of the Grand Secretery were read at our lodge and the latter was remarkably well received.

We, your petitioners are of the decided opinion that a Branch of the Savings Bank established in this place
would be of the greatest advantage; not only to the members of our Order but to the people of the place generally.

The Post Master would we think be a proper Official to have the charge of such a Bank and make the scheme.
what it ought to be.

We are glad this to express to you our views, and we trust that your advocacy of them, supported by this and
such like means may avail for the extending generally of the Savings Bank in this Colony.
