To The Honourable House of Assembly in Legislative Session Conveined. We the inhabitants of Scilly Cove in the Electoral District of Trinity Humbly Sheweth: That your petitioners consider the appointment of a Relieving Officer at Scilly Cove would be in the best interests of this settlement. That those who receive charity must walk six miles to Hearts Content when the weather is bad which we consider an unnecessary hardship. That we consider Scilly Cove has sufficient population to warrent this appointment, and that Scilly Cove can look after its own affairs in this respect.
