Will of James Frederick Bancroft from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 585 probate year 1929 In re DECEASED. This is the last will of me James Frederick Bancroft of Topsail, gentleman. I revoke all former wills by me at any time made. I appoint Rev A. Pittman sole executor of this my will. I bequeath all my estate real and personal to my executor in trust to realize same and to expend same on the proper maintenance and support of my wife Mary Jane Bancroft with power to use his discretion as to the expenditure of the whole amount, if necessary, for that purpose. It is my particular request that the property known as "The Hermitage" Topsail be sold as soon as possible after my death. upon the death of my wife the residue of my estate shall be divided equally between my sons and daughters, the children of any deceased son or daughter to take the share of their deceased parent. My eldest daughter Mrs Frederick Oakley is not to participate hereunder nor her child or children in the event of her death. Witness my hand at St. John's this 6th day of July 1929. Signed
