Will of Thomas R. Bennett
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 page 90 probate year 1901

Last Will and Testament of
Thomas R. Bennett of Harbor Grace
Gentleman deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of me Thomas R. Bennett of Harbor Grace lately judge of the District Court, written with my own hand.
First. I will give and bequeath to my sisters, Sarah, Margaret and Hannah jointly and to the survivors or survivor of them the sum of Two thousand dollars ($2000)
Second. I will give and bequeath to my dear wife all the remainder of my estate including houses and lands goods and chattels monies and securities for her sole use and benefit, subject to the following condition that should any of the said estate remain unspent at the time of death of my said wife she shall leave the same to my nephew William P. Bennett and to my niece Clara Ott in the proportion of two thirds to the said William P. Bennett and one third to the said Clara Ott and in event of the death of either before the death of my said wife then the share to go to his or her next of kin.
I nominate and appoint my wife as executrix to this will. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand at Harbour Grace Nfland, this 15th day of February A.D. 1901. (Sgd) T. R. Bennett. Signed published and declared by the said Testator in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other hereto subscribe ourselves as witnesses (sgd) W. H. Horwood (sgd) A. H. Seymour.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Thomas R. Bennett deceased
