Will of Thomas Best from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 534 probate year 1891 Last will and Testament This is the last will and testament of Thomas Best of Fogo Newfoundland. Firstly. I direct payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses with all convenient speed after my decease and subject thereto. I give, devise and bequeath what money I have in the Newfoundland Savings Bank between my four children Louisa Lovelace, Elijah Best, Herbert Best, and Thomas Best share and share alike. Secondly. I bequeath my fishing room, dwelling house stores and gardens with all the furniture therein and all appurtenances thereto belonging to my eldest son Elijah Best for his own use and benefit absolutely my bed and bedding I bequeath to my son Thomas Best. And I appoint John Wheaton Hodge of Fogo aforesaid merchant to be sole executor of this my will And I revoke all former wills and codicils. Dated at Fogo Newfoundland this twelfth day of September Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and ninety one A.D. 1891 Thomas his x mark Best Signed by the above named Thomas Best the testator in the joint presence of us who thereupon signed our names in his and each others presence.
