      I William Joseph Bolan do by this my last will & Testament give and bequeath to my wife Margaret Bolan my house situated on Gower Street East of Cochrane Street together with all my goods chattels and all other property that I may be possessed of for her sole use & benefit. Witness my hand this Twenty fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty four in the Town of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland (sgd) William Joseph Bolan (LS) Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of (sgd) John Goodridge.
