Last will and testament
of John Boyd
of St. John's Merchant Deceased
.

This is the last will and testament of me John Boyd of Saint John's Merchant I bequeath the whole of my estate real and personal and wheresoever situate to my executor hereinafter named in trust for the following bequests. I bequeath to Miss Ellen J. Laird the sum of four hundred dollars to be paid out of money on deposit in the Union Bank also my gold watch and chain also a small piece of land and property on the Topsail Road known as Bay Morris also my personal clothing. All the rest and residue of my estate I bequeath to my three sisters Janet Lizzie and Jeanie to be divided equally among them for the sole separate and absolute use of each of them. I appoint John Syme of St. John's accountant sole executor of this my last will. Dated at St. John's this 6th day of May A.D. 1891. John Boyd Signed and delivered by the said testator as and for his last will in the presence of J. S. Winter J. Syme.
