Will of Nathaniel Brooks
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 pages 460-461 probate year 1916

In re
      NATHANIEL BROOKS          deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me Nathaniel Brooks of No. 15 Addington Street Ramsgate in the County of Kent Bookbinder    I appoint my son Ernest Nathaniel Brooks my daughter Ella May Brooks and my brother in law Fred Bowler (hereinafter called “my trustees” to be the trustees and executors of this my will    I give and bequeath all moneys payable at my death to my executors under or by virtue of the two policies of assurance on my life and also all my household furniture and effects and my books jewellery and clothes unto my wife Sophia Brooks
I give and devise my freehold house and premises being No. 15 Addington Street aforesaid subject to any mortgage or charge on it that may be in existence at my death unto my said son Ernest Nathaniel Brooks I give and devise one fourth part of my share and interest in the estate of the late Michael Brooks (which estate consists of property situate in Saint John Newfoundland) unto my said daughter Ella May Brooks I give and devise one other fourth part of my share and interest in the said estate of the late Michael Brooks unto my daughter Lynda Eliza Brooks     I give and devise the two remaining fourth parts of my share and interest in the said estate of the late Michael Brooks unto my trustees Upon trust for my said wife for her life and at her death In trust as to one of such fourth parts for my said son Ernest Nathaniel Brooks and as to the other of such fourth parts for my daughter Lottie Ethel Francklin I give devise and bequeath all my property not hereinbefore disposed of unto my said four children Ernest Nathaniel Brooks Ella May Brooks Lynda Eliza Brooks and Lottie Ethel Francklin in equal shares
Lastly I revoke all other wills by me made     In witness whereof I have hereunder set my hand this twenty seventh day of August one thousand nine hundred and eight- Nathaniel Brooks- Signed by the above named Nathaniel Brooks the testator as his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses- Edward Wotton Solicitor Ramsgate.     George E.D. Eccleston his Clerk.
