     Robert Brooks      deceased.

In the name of God Amen, I Robert Brooks of Newmarket Terrace Hackney Road in the County of Middlesex Gentleman being of sound and disposing mind and of perfect memory and understanding do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following and desire that it may be received by all as such first of all I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I commit to the earth to be decently and frugally interred the whole management of which I leave to the discretion of my dearly beloved wife Elizabeth Brooks,
Secondly as to all my worldly effects and property of every description wheresoever and whatsoever I may be possessed of at the time of my decease after my funeral expenses and just debts are paid I will and bequeath in the following manner that is to say I wish my dearly beloved wife Elizabeth Brooks to have the full enjoyment of everything during the time of her natural life that is to say the use of the household furniture and goods in my dwelling house the rent arising from my freehold estates at St. John's and Bay of Bulls Newfoundland and the dividends proceeding from any monies that I may have in the public funds and the lease of my present dwelling house at Newmarket Terrace Hackney Road but nothing is to be disposed of by her to the detriment of my children and at and after the decease of my said dearly beloved wife Elizabeth Brooks it is my particular wish that all the property of every description and nature whatsoever and wheresoever may be immediately sold and converted into money and distributed equally share and share alike amongst my dear children that may be living at the time of the decease of Elizabeth Brooks my dearly beloved wife aforesaid and lastly I do hereby make ordain nominate constitute and appoint my dearly beloved wife Elizabeth Brooks sole executrix of this my last will and testament and do also hereby revoke and make void all former and other wills and testaments at any time before made by me.
