Will of Mary Louisa Butler
from Newfoundland will books volume 8 pages 519-520 probate year 1909

In re
      Mary Louisa Butler          deceased.

      I Mary Louisa Butler of the Gullies, Brigus, Newfoundland widow of the late Benjamin Butler, hereby revoke any other will previously made by me and do make and ordain this my last will and Testament as follows:

First I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Eliza Leamon and to my grand daughters Mary Norman Leamon and Sarah (Ellie) Butler, and to my grandson James Henry Munn Leamon, all the money left me by my late husband Benjamin Butler, remaining at the time of my death and which may be on deposit in either of the banks, or in the house, the said money to be equally divided between my said daughter and three grandchildren previously mentioned.

Third. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Eliza Leamon, my bedstead, feather bed and pillows.

Fourth all other effects or articles belonging to me including the two large framed pictures of my late husband and myself. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Eliza Leamon.

Fifth I hereby appoint John Norman Leamon sole Executor to this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal at the Gullies Brigus Newfoundland, this Fourteenth day of February A.D. in the year of our Lord one Thousand nine Hundred and eight    Mary Louisa Butler (LS)    Signed sealed published and declared by the said testatrix Mary Louisa Butler as and for her last will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testatrix the said will having been first read over to her, the second paragraph in said will with reference to the feather bed and pillows being marked out or eliminated before the Testatrix signed the said will in our presence.    Thomas Chalker    J.
