Last Will and Testament of
Peter Butler of Port de Grave
Merchant deceased.

      Port de Grave Nfld Dec. 21st 1894.
In the name of God Amen. I Peter Butler, merchant of Port de Grave, in Conception Bay, do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and Testament. I give and bequeath to Monsignor Walsh all such lands, houses, goods, and chattels, moneys, securities for money, estate and effects of whatever nature or kind the same may be as I may die possessed of upon trust in the first place to sell and dispose of the same to the best advantage and from and out of the proceeds thereof to pay off and discharge all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the remainder of my estate give devise & bequeath Monsignor Walsh to be used and disposed of at his discretion for church purposes, or other charitable uses - I nominate & appoint Monsignor Walsh & Patrick Nowlan Esqr. Executors of this my will, and I do hereby revoke, annul and declare void all wills by me heretofore made. Witness my hand at Port de Grave aforesaid this 21st day of December 1894 (sgd) Peter Butler Signed by the said Testator as and for his last will & Testament in our presence who at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereto set our hands as witnesses on the day and year above written.
