     Samuel G. Carnell deceased.

          This is the last will and testament of me Samuel George Carnell of St. John's Wheelwright. I direct that my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid. I give and bequeath to my son Arthur Samuel George Carnell the amount belonging to me in the bank together with the Bank book. I give my Doubloon to my grandchild Charles Francis Webber- I desire that John Jocelyn shall have liberty to live with my wife and children for the remainder of her life free of expense and charge. I give and bequeath all the rest and remainder of my goods property and effects to my wife Catherine Carnell during her natural life for her support and the support of my four children by the said Catherine Carnell and after her death I desire that the said goods property and effects shall be divided equally among my said four children. *the rents of farm to go to pay the mortgage off    In the event of my wife marrying again I desire that the foregoing bequest to her shall lapse and that the said property goods and effects shall go immediately to my said four children. I appoint my son John Thomas Carnell and my son-in- law Duncan Baxter to be the executors of this my will. Witness my hand at St. John's this 25^th Augt. 1880. Saml George Carnell.
