Will of Francis Carroll from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 122 probate year 1927

In re
    FRANCIS CARROLL.     DECEASED.

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Francis Carroll, of Saint John's, Labourer.
I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and I appoint my daughter, Catherine Hammond the Executrix of this my will.
I will and direct that my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses shall be first paid out of any cash which I may have on hand or on deposit in the bank at the time of my death.
I give and bequeath to my said daughter Catherine for her own use absolutely my leasehold messuage, Number 25 Holloway Street together with all my household furniture and effects. All the residue of my estate I give and bequeath to my four children, Thomas, Patrick, Mary Ann Dunne and the said Catherine Hammond in equal shares between them.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John's this twenty-eighth day of November A.D. 1921.

Signed Published and declared by the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us, both being present at the same time who in his presence and at his request hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses attesting the due execution hereof, the said will having been first read over and explained to the said Testator who appeared perfectly to understand the same and who signed the same by making his mark thereto in our presence.
