Will of Harriet Carter from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 101 probate year 1887 The last Will and Testament This is the last Will and Testament of me Harriet Elizabeth Ann Carter holding certain moneys and property to my sole and separate use and behoof - I give devise and bequeath to my executor hereinafter named all the property of which I shall die possessed upon Trust in the first place to pay my just debts and to distribute the Estate of which I may die possessed as follows namely. To Alexander McIvor Duder of St. John's aforesaid accountant the sum of Two thousand dollars and to my aunt Kate Duder widow of Charles Duder deceased the sum of Eight thousand dollars and I charge this last said devise with the payment of all debts and expenses of my Estate and will - If there should be any residue beyond these devises I will and bequeath the same to my said Aunt Kate Duder. And I hereby appoint Alexander McNeily of St. John's aforesaid Esquire one of her Majestys Counsel to be the Executor of this my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this second day of September Anno Domini One thousand eight hundred and eighty six. H. E. A. Carter. Signed published and declared by the said Testatrix as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.
