Will of Catherine Cowell from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 353 probate year 1889 Last will and Testament August 16th 1879.
Feeling myself weak and making this as my last will I bequeath all this land and house under cultivation, two cows and horse, and all the farm utensils I bequeath it to Laurence Brophy except one square acre to James Brophy a long side the south corner of Eale's south fence. I bequeath all the uncultivated land to John and James Brophy between them, except one quarter of an acre of Bogg Land alongside of Eale's north fence to Laurence Brophy and James and John Brophy. to a passage way through the uncultivated land of then to there lower land, I am leaving this acre of land at Eales South fence to James if he choose to build on it, but if he don't he have no further claim on it, and either John, James, or Laurence can either sell or mortgage this land
