Will of John Culleton

In re
      JOHN CULLETON       deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me, John Culleton, of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Planter:    I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and I appoint Michael Bambrick, of St. John’s, Municipal Road Inspector, to be the executor of this my will:    I direct that my debts and funeral and testamentary expenses shall first be paid out of my estate:    I will and direct that my said Executor shall provide a headstone for my grave:    I give and bequeath to the St. Patrick’s Church Completion Fund my two houses, one on Hutchings’ Street and the other on Rossiter’s Lane:    I give and bequeath to the St. Michael’s orphanage, Belvidere, the sum of two hundred dollars:    I give and bequeath to the Mount Cashel Orphanage the sum of two hundred dollars:     I give and bequeath to Ellen Rogers, the wife of John Rogers, with whom I have been boarding on Hutchings Street the sum of Sixty dollars:    I further give and bequeath to the said St. Patrick’s Church Completion Fund the sum of one thousand dollars:    I give and bequeath all the rest of my estate consisting of the balance then remaining in the Newfoundland Savings’ Bank or otherwise after providing for the bequests hereinbefore mentioned to my said Executor in trust to be applied by him in arranging to have Masses said for the repose of my soul.    In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John’s aforesaid, this twenty-eighth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.    John Culleton.    Signed published and declared by the testator as and for his last will and testament in presence of us, both being present at the same time who at his request and in his presence hereunto subscribe ourselves as witnesses attesting the due execution thereof.
