.

I John Dawe of Coley's Point District of Bay Roberts island of Newfoundland Planter being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore anytime by me made. I hereby appoint my son James dawe and James Norman of Coley's Point to be executors of this my will and testament. I hereby direct my said executors to pay all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses as soon as possible after my decease. I give and bequeath to my son James Dawe the schooner and all of my fishing gear also the store on the beach known as the fishing property.

I give to my son John Dawe the beach.

I give to my two grandsons now living in British Columbia the sum of two hundred dollars each.

I give to the Church of England at Coley's Point the sum of two hundred dollars.

I give to my wife Caroline the dwelling house, furniture and all lands and property not disposed of, also a annuity of five hundred dollars during her widowhood after her death all the residue of my estate to be equally divided between my sons and daughters namely James Daw, John Dawe, Arthur Dawe, frank Dawe, Harry Dawe, Fannie French, Emma Bradbury, Carrie Wills.

In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand this 12th day of August A.D. one thousand nine hundred and twenty nine.

Codicil
Should my son James dawe want an advance of money to prosecute the codfishery at anytime, the executors of this my last will and testament shall advance him the sum of six hundred dollars, this amount to be paid back again to my estate.
