Will of Jeremiah H. Dee from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 596 probate year 1932

IN RE          DECEASED.
Jeremiah H. Dee

THIS is the last will and testament of me Jeremiah H. Dee of Saint John's Customs Official.

  1. I appoint my wife Theresa Ellen Dee executrix of this my will.
  2. I give and bequeath to my said wife the use of my dwelling house and furniture during her life; and all the income from the residue of my estate, moneys, lands, property, and effects for her use during her life; with power to her in her absolute discretion to realize any portion of my said estate; and to expend for her support care and maintenance from time to time any portions of the capital of my estate if she shall consider it necessary to do so.
  3. Upon the death of my said wife I give devise and bequeath whatever portion of my estate which WO DK WEW shall then be remaining to such of my children as shall then be living in equal shares absolutely and forever.
  4. I give to my executrix the following powers, Viz; To retain my investments which I may have at my death and to vary the same at her discretion and to invest any portions of the capital of my estate upon the security of mortgages upon landed property in or near St. John's.

Witness my hand at Saint John's aforesaid this 11th day of April Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and twenty seven.
