Margaret Dooley

 

Will of Margaret Dooley from Newfoundland will books volume 5 pages 287-288 probate year 1888.
This will is also recorded on page 203 in this volume. The wills are similar, with only a few minor differences, and the comments of the registrar.

Last will and Testament of
Margaret Dooley widow late John Dooley
of St. John's Shipwright deceased.

The last will and Testament of Margaret Dooley widow of the late John Dooley of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland Shipwright. Revoking all other wills and testaments and after the payment of all my just debts, and funeral expenses I give and bequeath to my son James Dooley all and singular my estate and effects comprising my two dwelling houses situate on the west side of Prescott Street in the town of St. John's aforesaid and adjoining the property of William Dooley, and also all my personal effects whatsoever to dispose of the whole of my estate and effects as he may think fit and proper I appoint my said son James Dooley my sole executor to this my last will and Testament directing him at the same time to pay to the Rev. P. Delaney the sum of twenty dollars for masses for the repose of my soul.
In witness whereof I hereby subscribe my hand at St. John's aforesaid this second day of March eighteen hundred and eighty eight Margaret x Dooley her mark. Signed published and declared as and for the last will & testament of the said Margaret Dooley being first read over and explained in presence of us who in presence of each other and of the said Margaret Dooley the testatrix names subscribe and names at witness hereto John Maher. Andrew Denner Minnie E. Dooley Dated 19th April 1888
