Will of William Doran
from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 176-177 probate year 1910

In re
      William Doran          deceased.

      In the name of God Amen      I William Doran of Outer Cove do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament
      First I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon as convenient after my deceased
      Secondly. I give devise and bequeath to my wife Jane Doran all my lands houses stages flakes and fishing property and all other property of every kind of which I may die possessed for and during her natural life and after her death I give devise and bequeath all my said lands houses stages flakes and fishing property and all other property of every kind of which I may die possessed to my three sons John Michael and Richard to have and to hold the same jointly - It is my will and pleasure that my said sons carry on the fishery together as they have heretofore done jointly with myself. Amongst the properties which I have bequeathed to my said sons    I have included the property on the north side of Outer Cove which has been transferred by Margaret Doran to my said son Michael Doran It being my will and desire that all the property including that on the north side be enjoyed by my said sons equally and I do will and direct that should my said son Michael not be satisfied to allow the said property on the north side of Outer Cove to be divided as aforesaid then he shall not be entitled to any part or share of my said lands houses stages flakes or fishing property or of any other property of which I may die possessed save to one third part of the small stage on the south side of the river at Outer Cove, all his right to the rest of my property or to any share therein shall be forfeited and the same shall thereupon become and be the property of my other two sons John and Richard to be enjoyed by them jointly as aforesaid.
Third. It is my will and desire that my son Patrick who is at present and has for some time past been in Newark New Jersey in the United States when ever he returns to Outer Cove shall have a home for himself with my son Richard so long as he shall remain in Outer Cove -
Fourth I hereby nominate and appoint my son John Doran and my friend Walter Power of Outer Cove to be the executors of this my will, and lastly I hereby revoke annul and declare void all other and former wills made by me, William Doran. Signed published and declared as and for his last will and testament by William Doran in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our hands as witnesses at Outer Cove this 5th day of March A.D. 1907. The same having been first read over and explained to the said William Doran the word Walter Power being interlined on the 12th line of page 2.    James M. Kent    Walter Power
