Last Will and Testament of
James Dwyer of Freshwater Rd.
Farmer deceased.
This is the last will and Testament of me James
Dwyer of Freshwater in the East end of St. John's Farmer. 1. I give
devise and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Dwyer all my cattle, horses, carriages,
carts and farming utensils and all my farm produce. 2. I give devise
and bequeath to my said wife Elizabeth and my niece Minnie
Dwyer my dwelling
house and barn and land extending to the middle gap on the south side 3.
To my brother Martin Dwyer I give and devise the land on the North side of
the middle gap extending to the River. 4. To my wife Elizabeth I
give and bequeath the mortgage held by me on the property of Margaret
Coxfield and amounting to one hundred and sixty dollars. I direct my executors to have
a High Mass celebrated for the repose of my soul as soon as possible after
my death.
I appoint my wife Elizabeth Dwyer and my friend Daniel
Clatney Executors of this my will. Dated at Freshwater this 19th day
of October 1900. (Sgd) James Dwyer. Signed by the said Testator as and for his
last will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the
presence of each other have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses. (Sgd)
