                    This is the last will and Testament of Robert Carter of Saint John's Newfoundland . Sup??? of Mercantile Marine _                       I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Ann Carter all my property for her sole use and Benefit during her life time and ???

the said property or as much as remains of it is to be equally divided between my two daughters Mary Ann Carter and Fanny Margaret Carter if they are then unmarried , or if one only is then unmarried half of the said property is to be paid to the unmarried one , and the other half to be divided equally between my other children , or in case of both my daughters being married at the time of my wife's death the whole of the property is to be divided equally between my children - provided that if either of my children having married shall have died previous to my said wifes death the children of such deceased child if any shall inherit their parents share _    I appoint my sons Robert Carter and George John Carter my executors _    Dated at Saint Johns Nfld this Twenty third day of July 1884_ Robert Carter _

                    In the name of God Amen - I Jeremiah Rose of Little Bay, ??r, Fortune Bay , Newfoundland Fisherman and Planter , being of sound mind but weak in body and knowing that it is appointed unto all ??? once to die ??? do Make this my last Will and Testament I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and then give and bequeath the Schooner and all the fishing gear, boats, seines and nets with fish stores to my two sons George and John Joseph equally, on condition that they support and Maintain in comfort my other son, their brother, Levi Thomas - and their three sisters Eliza Charity, Elizabeth and Una as long as they remain
