To Wit           }                                                    AFFIDIVIT.

You shall swear that you believe this to be the true last Will and Testament of

Mary Keefe late of "The Grove" Harbor Grace in the Northern District widow deceased

You shall swear that you will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the deceased, so far as the Goods shall extend and the Law shall bind you ; and that you will exhibit a true, full, and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account, into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, when you shall be lawfully called thereto : and you shall further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said    Mary          Keefe                     deceased, and of which she died pos-sessed, do not, according to the best of your knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of

   This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Keefe, relict of the late Edward Keefe of Mosquito, being of sound mind memory and understanding
    First I give devise and bequeath all and singular that portion of the Estate of my late brothers James Neagle and Hugh Neagle (situate in Mosquito aforesaid) which portion of said Estate that I have recovered by Law, unto my daughter Susanna Keefe and to her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns ---
    Also I give devise and bequeath all and singular that dwelling house and land situate in Mosquito aforesaid, known as Edward Keefe's Farm, unto my son Patrick Keefe for and during his natural life and from and immediately after his death, unto my grandchildren, the children of my late son John Keefe and to their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns ---
   I appoint my son Patrick Keefe aforesaid and my son-in-law William Keefe executors to this my last Will and Testament
   In witness whereof I do hereby set and Subscribe my hand and seal at the Grove Harbor Grace this 15 day of February 1884

          to wit    }    John J Keefe of Harbor Grace          maketh oath and saith that he was present in the day of the date thereof and did see Mary Keefe of Harbor Grace widow the Testatrix named in the foregoing paper writing duly sign publish and declare the same as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence as ?ill of this deponent as of James Wall the other subscribing witness to the same and that immediately after the said Testatrix had so signed published and declared as aforesaid this deponent and the said James Wall then and there in the presence of the said Testatrix and in the presence of each other signed their names at the end of the said Will as Witnesses to the due execution of the same And this deponent further saith that the said Testatrix at the time of so publishing and signing her said last Will as aforesaid was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of this deponent's judgment knowledge and belief -

          I William Keefe of Bears Cove in the District of Harbor Grace Farmer make oath and say that I freely and voluntarily renounce all right to act as Executor of the last Will and Testament of Mary Keefe late of Mosquito Widow deceased and that I have not in any way intermeddled with the affairs of the said Estate

To the Honourable the Supreme
Court on Circuit at Harbor
Grace

          The Petition    of Patrick Keefe

Humbly Sheweth :-

     That Mary Keefe late of "The Grove" Harbor Grace died at that place on or about the month of September one thousand eight hundred and eighty four having first made her last Will and Testament which is hereunto annexed Proved upon the oath of John J Keefe one of the subscribing Witnesses thereto
          That under the said Will your Petitioner and William Keefe were appointed executors. That the said William Keefe has duly renounced and the said ren??eration is hereto annexed.
          That deceased at the time of?? her decease had a fixed place of abode within the Jurisdiction of this Honourable Court ?? at Harbor Grace aforesaid
