AFFIDAVIT NEWFOUNDLAND, } We, Fenwick Crane of St. John's So help us God Sworn before me, at St. John's } Martin W. Furlong Geo J. Adams

Certificate I hereby certify that the notice on the other side hereof has been posted in the Supreme Court from the day of the date thereof to this date and that no caveat or other objection has been inferred thereto
Notice Three days from the date hereof application will be made to the Honorable the Supreme Court or to one of the Honorable the Judges thereof for Probate to the will of James Dawson late of St. John's deceased to be granted to the executors name in said will.
Supreme Court of Newfoundland. St. John's } the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and the said Martin W. Furlong Sworn before me, at St. John's } Geo. J. Adams
AThis is the last will and testament of me James Dawson of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland. I appoint Martin W. Furlong of St. John's aforesaid Solicitor and Fenwick Crane of the same place Accountant to be my executors and the guardians of my infant daughter Florence Mary Dawson and I direct that all my just debts funeral and supplementary expenses be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. I give devise and bequeath unto my executors all my real and personal estate and effects of what nature and kind soever wherever the same may be to hold the same in trust for my daughter Florence Mary until she will have attained the age of twenty one years with power to my said executors to lease any lands and to invest any moneys which may be in their hands or which may come into their hands and to vary or change any such or other investments. In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament set my hand this 9th day of February 1894 Signed by the testator and acknowledged by him }
To the Honorable the Supreme Court of Newfoundland or to one of the Honorable the Judges thereof. The petition of Fenwick Crane of St. John's accountant and Martin W. Furlong of same place Soliciter. Humbly Sheweth That James Dawson late of St. John's aforesaid clerk did at that place on or about the tenth day of this present month of December having previously made his last will and testament (word crossed out here) which is hereto annexed marked A. That your petitioners were appointed executors of this last will and testament of the said James Dawson. That the said James Dawson was at the time of his death possessed of property within the Jurisdiction of your Honorable Court of the probable value of Five thousand dollars. That no probate nor letters of administration to the estate of the said James Dawson have been granted forth of this Honorable Court. Your petitioners therefore pray that probate to the said last will and testament may be granted to them and as in Duty bound they will ever pray &c &c &c Dated at St. John's this 18th day of December 1894.
