Notice
After three days from the date hereof application will be made to
the Supreme Court or one of the Honourable the Judges thereof
for Probate of the Will of Julia Callanan late of Harbor Grace in the
Northern District widow deceased to be granted to Andrew F. Drysdale of Harbor Grace aforesaid Notary Public the Executor
named in the said Will.

The Petition of Andrew F. Drysdale Esq. of Harbor Grace in the Northern District of the Island of Newfoundland, Notary Public.
Humbly Sheweth
That the late Julia Callanan, late of Harbor Grace aforesaid Widow deceased died at that place on the sixth day of November Instant having previously made and executed her Last Will and Testament which is hereunto attached.
That under the said Last Will and Testament your Petitioner was appointed the sole Executor.
That the said late Julia Callanan at the time of her death was possessed of property and money deposited in the Newfoundland Savings Bank to the amount of two thousand two hundred dollars.
That no Probate to the said Will or Administration to the said Estate has hitherto been granted of this Hon. Court.
Your Petitioner therefore prays that Probate to the said Will may be granted to him.
And as in duty bound will ever pray &c

I William Ward of Harbor Grace in the Island of Newfoundland aforesaid ??? Dealer make oath and say that on the twenty ninth day of September in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and ninety five at Harbor Grace aforesaid I was present and did see Julia Callanan late of Harbor Grace aforesaid Widow deceased the Testatrix named in the Paper writing hereunto annexed marked "A" did sign publish and declare the annexed Paper writing as and for her last Will and Testament in my presence and in the presence of Nicholas Fitzgerald the other subscribing witness thereto. That I and the said Nicholas Fitzgerald then and there signed our names to such will as such witnesses in the presence of the said Testator and of each other. That previously to the said Will being so signed as aforesaid by the said Testatrix and the said Witnesses it was read over and approved of by the said Testatrix in the presence of me and the said Nicholas Fitzgerald and that at the time of the execution of the said Will the said Testatrix was of sound mind memory and understanding
to the best of my knowledge and belief.

Grace aforesaid this 9th day

To all to whom these presents shall come, I Julia Callanan of Harbor Grace, Newfoundland Widow being of sound disposing mind memory and perception
do make Publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
- I hereby revoke all former wills made by me
- I will bequeathe [sic] and give to the Rev'd John March one hundred dollars for masses for the Repose of the souls of my late husbands Father and Mother, and my Father and Mother ??? ???.
- I will devise bequeathe and give to the Right Rev'd R? Macdonald Bishop of Harbor Grace four hundred dollars towards the creation of an Altar in honor of The Blessed Virgin Mary in the Cathedral at Harbor Grace
- I will bequeathe and give to the following Clergymen ??? Masses for the Repose of the soul of my late husband and myself; to the Rev'd John Marche ??enty Dollars

NEWFOUNDLAND
Harbor Grace To Wit I do swear that I believe this to be the true Last Will and Testament of Julia Callanan late of Harbor Grace in the Northern District Widow deceased. I do further swear that I will pay all the Debts and Legacies of the said deceased so far as her Goods shall extend, and the law shall bind me, and that I will exhibit a full, true and perfect Inventory of all and every the Goods, Rights and Credits of the deceased, together with a just and true account into the Registry of the Supreme Court of Newfoundland, when I shall be lawfully called thereto. And I do further swear that the whole of the Goods, Rights, Chattels, Assets, Credits and Effects of the said deceased, and of which she died possessed, do not, according to the best of my knowledge, judgment and belief, amount to the value of Two thousand two hundred dollars
