Annie Garland

Last will of Mrs. Annie Garland 44 Carter's Hill, St. John's, Newfoundland.
I, Mrs. Annie Garland, of the address stated above, do make the following statement as to the disposal of my property after my death.
1. The house, No. 44 Carter's Hill, St. John's, Newfoundland, owned by me, I bequeath to my Grand Daughter, Miss Phyllys Byrne, daughter of Mrs. Florence Byrne, of Merrymeeting Road, St. John's, Newfoundland, under the following conditions;
(a) House can be occupied by my daughter Mrs. Florence Byrne, from the time of my death, until Miss Phyllys Byrne, is 21 years of age, and after Miss Phyllys Byrne has attained the age of 21, if she is so inclined, she can occupy the house and her parents family to occupy domocile elsewhere.
The Trustees, consisting of C.F. Garland, John Garland, Stephen Garland, sons shall have absolute control over my house, 44 Carter's Hill, until Miss Phyllys Byrne is 21 years of age, and if they, the trustees deem it necessary, they can impose any conditions they consider fit and proper to carry out my wishes.
2. After my death, first claims on my estate will be any debts I may have incurred during my lifetime; (b) my funeral expenses to be paid out of my estate; the residue of my estate to be equally divided among my three sons, Charles, now residing at Robinsons Hill, City; John, now residing with me at 44 Carter's Hill, and Stephen, now residing at Merrymeeting Road, City.

Codicil to will of Annie Garland, widow residing at the above address.
Will made by me in December 1931 is amended by the following Codicil.
My house, 50 Carter's Hill, I bequeath to my daughter, Mrs. Florence Byrne, to have and to hold during her lifetime, and upon her death, my house, 50 Carter's Hill, to be bequeathed to her daughter, Miss Phyllys Byrne, my Grand Daughter and now residing with me at 50 Carter's Hill. John Garland to pay for Phyllys Byrne's education up to also from his share.
The other provisos as contained in my will of December 1931, with the above codicil to be my last will and Testament.
