Will of Catherine Goodland, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 341 probate year 1931

IN RE.                              DECEASED
Catherine Goodland.

This is the last will and testament of me, Catherine Goodland, of St John's, in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow, hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me, at any time made.
First. I give and bequeath of my nephew John Joseph Sinnott the Sum of One thousand dollars. Second. I give and bequeath to the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St John's the Sum of One thousand for masses for the repose of the Souls of my father, mother, and sisters, my husband and myself. Third. I give and bequeath to Charles H. Hutchings, my Executor hereafter named, the sum of Two Hundred Dollars. Fourth. After the payment of my just debts, funerals, and testamentary expenses, and the cost of the erection of a suitable monument to the memory of my parents, my husband and myself, I give and bequeath to Mary Sinnott, daughter of my said nephew John Joseph Sinnott, all the rest, residue and remainder of the property of which I shall die possessed, of every nature and kind, whatsoever.
I appoint Charles H. Hutchings of St John's, Inspector General of Constabulary, sole Executor hereto.
Dated this 20th day of June A.D. 1925 at St John's, aforesaid.
