Will of Richard Greenslade, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 205 probate year 1930

RICHARD GREENSLADE

Last will of Richard Greenslade of Long Pond.

I, Richard Greenslade of Longpond, district of Harbour Main being of sound mind do now declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
I give and bequeath to my son Walter Greenslade my house and furniture cellar, outhouses, horse, cart, box cart, carriage, harness, two ploughs and barrow and the piece of land on which the house is built and adjacent bounded on the N by Joseph Greenslade land, on the E by Nat Bishops, on the S by Geo Taylors, and on the W by the Main Road, to be his own entirely if my son George Greenslade does not return to settle down permanently to live at the old home and on the land. If my son George does return, each of my sons Walter and George are to have an equal share in everything above mentioned. My bed and bedding I give and bequeath to Norman Greenslade. The piece of land bounded on the N by George Taylors land; on the E by Nat Bishop on the S by J.T. Greenslade on the W by the Garden Road I give and bequeath to my son Joseph. If Joseph does not claim it, then I give and bequeath it to my son Walter to be shared equally however, with George, if he returns and settles down permanently on the old land and home.
I give and bequeath to my son Walter Greenslade to be entirely his own, no one else having any share in it, the piece of land bounded on the N by the Railway Track, on the W by Geo Taylors, on the E by Zach Dawes and on the S by Allan Dawes Road.
And I appoint Herbert Greenslade who lives next door to me to be my executor.
