Will of Robert Hanlon Senior from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 542 probate year 1931

IN RE                    DECEASED.

THIS is the last will and testament of me Robert Hanlon of Nagles Hill near Saint John's River

  1. I give to my three daughters Ann Margaret and Mary the dwelling house in which I now live together with the yard and the hen yard about the house as the same is at present under fence; also the piece of land on the opposite side of the river known as the "Bungalow Lot" as tenants in common forever. I also will and direct that my said daughters shall have the use of the hen house near the said dwelling house unless and until my sons Robert and Michael Hanlon shall build a hen house of similar size for my said daughters upon the land forming part of the yard about the said dwelling house.
  2. I give to my grandsons Robert Dwyer and Patrick Dwyer the land and a dwelling house at present occupied by my son in law Michael Dwyer as tenants in common forever.
  3. I give to my son Robert Hanlon forever the land and dwelling house at present occupied by him lying between the said Bungalow Lot and land of Michael Joyce and bounded on the south by the river.
  4. I give to my son Michael Hanlon forever the dwelling house at present occupied by him with the yard about it.
  5. I give to my said sons Robert and Michael as tenants in common forever all the rest residue and remainder of my lands and buildings including the cellar and barn lying between the house at present occupied by me and the house at present occupied by my said son Michael together with all my farming implements machines and utensils cattle horses and farm products. Provided that my said sons Robert and Michael pay to each of my said daughters Margaret and Mary the sum of one hundred dollars.
  6. I give to my daughter Ann Hanlon all moneys which I have in the Newfoundland Savings Bank or in any other Bank or on hand.
    All the rest residue and remainder of my property estate and effects of every description if any I give devise and bequeath to my sons Robert and Michael in equal shares and I appoint my said sons Robert and Michael Hanlon executors of this my will.

WITNESS my hand at Saint John's aforesaid this 24th day of November Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and twenty eight.

SIGNED PUBLISHED AND DECLARED by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other (all present at the same time) have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses
