Will of William Harris, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 443 probate year 1931

IN RE.                         DECEASED
William Harris.

This is the last will and testament of me William Harris of St. John's, Cooper.

  1. I hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time made and make and declare this to be my last will and testament.
  2. I appoint my son Arthur Harris and my daughter Sarah Belle Davis to be executor and executrix of this my last will.
  3. I give devise and bequeath to my said daughter, Sarah Belle Davis my house and Cooperage [L.R. Curtis  Gertrude Chambers] on Alexander Street, free from all death duties if any, and other probate expenses.
  4. Out of the balance of my estate I direct my executors to pay all my just debts and the expenses of proving this my last will and other expenses, if any.
  5. All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate I give devise and bequeath to my said son Arthur Harris.

AS WITNESS my hand at St John's, this eleventh day of July, Anno Domini, one thousand nine hundred and twenty five.

SIGNED by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, present at the same time, who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. (the words "and cooperage" having first been inserted in clause "3")
