Last will and Testament of
Michael Hayes of Pearltown St. John’s
Farmer deceased

      This is the last will and Testament of me Michael Hayes of Pearltown farmer. First. I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary all my real and personal property of whatsoever description I may die possessed during her lifetime, and after her death to my son Edward Hayes absolutely. I appoint my son Edward my sole Executor of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have this day signed my hand hereto at St. John’s this 13th day of July A.D. 1898. (Sgd) Michael his X mark Hayes. Signed by the said testator (by affixing his mark) in our presence, who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto signed our names as witnesses (the same having been read over to the said testator and fully explained) (sgd) Jno. W. White Sol. (Sgd) Matthew Kent St. John’s Carriage builder.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Michael Hayes deceased
