Will of Edward Hollett
from Newfoundland will books volume 8 pages 560-561 probate year 1909

In re
      Edward Hollett          deceased.

      I Edward Hollett of Great Burin Newfoundland being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore at any time made I hereby appoint my three sons James W. Hollett, Edward M. Hollett, and Gabriel Hollett, to be the executors of my will.
I hereby bequeath to my son Gabriel Hollett the schooner Commander, also part of that parcel of land known as the upper meadow, bound on the north west and South west, by the public road and on the south - east by land in possession of Henery Hollett and running in a straight line from the north corner of a meadow in possession of Henery Hollett to the south corner of the cemetery, and bound on the north - east by the Cemetery and all that parcel of land known as the lower meadow with the exception of one part running from the west corner in a north - east direction thirty nine yards and thirty nine yds in a south east direction which is for my son Edward M. Hollett.
I hereby bequeath to my son James W. Hollett all that parcel of land situated on the south west side of Burin Bay Arm, which he formerly occupied
I hereby bequeath to my son Edward M Hollett one half that parcel of wooded land situated on the south west side of Burin Bay arm and one half to my son Gabriel Hollett.
I hereby bequeath to my son James W Hollett a parcel of land situated at Great Burin known as the north east part of the upper meadow bound on the south west by land possession of the Educational Board and Cemetery running in a south east direction to the east corner of the cemetery bound on the south east by land in possession of John Dancy bound on the North - east and North - west by public road
I hereby bequeath to my daughter Beatrice Hollett a part of the upper meadow bound on the north east by land in possession of John Dancy bound on the south west by land in possession of Henery Hollett on the north west by Cemetery, and on the south East by public road also one organ one small wicker chair, one Room known as the back room also Bed and all other things pertaining thereto.
I hereby bequeath to my daughter Hannah C. Hollett one red Heifer, and one sewing machine    In witness whereof, I Edward Hollett have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of May in the year of of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six     Edward Hollett (LS) witness    Benjamin F.
