Will of James R. Johnston, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 283 probate year 1930

IN RE.          DECEASED

JAMES R. JOHNSTON.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me JAMES R. JOHNSTON of ST. JOHN'S, Contractor.
I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and I appoint my wife Sarah Johnston and Frederick R. Emerson of St John's, Barrister the executors of this my will.
I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses first be paid.
I give devise and bequeath all property of which I may die possessed to my executors in trust to hold the same for the use and benefit of my said wife Sarah Johnston until her death or remarriage and after the happening of either event to convey and assign the same to my son Gordon to be his absolutely.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand at St John's this twenty-eight day of October Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and twenty four.

by the said Testator as and for
his last will and testament in the
presence of us both present at the same time
who in his presence and at his request have
subscribed our names as witnesses.

A CODICIL to the last will and testament of me, Dated Oct 28th, 1924 JAMES R. JOHNSTON of St John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Contractor
I give, devise and bequeath to my wife Sarah Johnston all my household furniture and effects to be hers absolutely.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand at St John's aforesaid this 17th day of September Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and twenty seven.
