Will of Annie Joy, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 pages 324 & 325 probate year 1930

IN RE.                         DECEASED
ANNIE JOY

Know all men by those present, that I, Annie Joy, presently residing at Corner Brook, Newfoundland, spinister, being of sound and disposing state of mind and memory, and being desirous settling my worldly affairs while I have strength and capacity, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
First:- I direct my executor, hereinafter named, to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses from my personal property not hereinafter disposed.
Second:- I give and bequeath to my brother, Matthew Joy, all and singular my entire right, title and interest in and to Twenty shares of stock held in my name in the H.P. Hood and Sons Incorporated of Charlestown, Massachusetts U.S.A. represented by stock Certificates B. 2424- one share B 2303- two shares B 2165- one share B 1992 - one share B 1551 four shares B 1412-one share B 547 - ten shares.
Third:- I devise to my said brother all my share of land forming part of the estate of late James Joy, at Port au Port, Nfld.
Fourth:- I also devise to my said brother all and singular my entire right title and interest in and to the land and house at Port au Port, Nfld, and also the furniture contained in said building as devised to me and in accordance with the will of my late mother - Mary Joy.
Fifth:- I also give to my said brother the cabinet bequeathed to me by my Mother in special memory of both my mother and myself.
Sixth:- I give to my said brother to be held in trust by him for his daughters Helen Joy and Madeline Joy, to be divided in equal shares, my share of the residue of the estate of the late Dean Matthew O'Rourke.
Seventh:- Subject to the payment of my debts and funeral and testamentary expenses the remainder of my personal estate consisting of Insurance with H. P. Hood and Sons group Insurance, to the amount of $1,200, and Hoods Mutual Benefit Insurance to the amount of $1,500, Cash on deposit to my credit at the Charlestown 5 per cent Savings Bank at Charlestown Mass, U.S.A. and cash on deposit to my credit at the Bank of Montreal, Corner Brook, Nfld, I give and bequeath in equal shares to my brothers John Joy, Port au Port, Nfld, and Michael Joy, New York, U.S.A. and my sisters Mary Joy, Boston, Mass, U.S.A. and Bridget Gregory, Corner Brook, Nfld.
Eighth:- The benefits accruing to my sister Bridget Gregory out of my personal estate, shall be held in trust for her by my executor, who shall pay the sums to her by instalments, said payment to be made at his discretion but not to be withheld in the event of illness or urgent need of my said sister.
Lastly:- I appoint my brother Matthew Joy, my executor.

In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal, and published and declared this instrument to be my last will and testament at Corner Brook, Newfoundland, the 23rd day of October, 1930, in presence of the persons whose names are subscribed as attesting witnesses.

On the 23rd day of October, 1930, the within named Annie Joy, in our presence signed the within instrument, and requested us to subscribe our names hereto as witnesses; and we, in her presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereto subscribed our names.
