Will of Ralph C. Kennedy, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 276 probate year 1930

IN RE.          DECEASED

RALPH C. KENNEDY.

THIS is the last will and testament of me Ralph C. Kennedy of Saint John's Accountant.

  1. I appoint my wife Hilda Kennedy and Mina Worsley of Saint John's Spinster executors of this my will.
  2. I direct that my said wife shall have the use of my dwelling house and furniture during her life and while she shall remain unmarried.
  3. Subject as aforesaid I direct my executors after payment of all my debts funeral and testamentary expenses to invest the proceeds of my estate and to pay the income thereof to my said wife during her life and while she shall remain unmarried for the use of herself and the maintenance and education of my child or children.
  4. On the death or remarriage of my wife I give devise and bequeath all the capital so invested and all my property estate and effects of every description to such of my children as shall then be living in equal shares; and if one only, then to that one; provided that should any or either of my children die in the meantime leaving issue then living such issue shall take the deceased parent's share or shares respectively.
  5. All the rest residue and remainder of my property estate and effects of every description including any interests or estates in any lands, moneys or property of any description which may be indisposed of by the foregoing paragraphs I give devise and bequeath to my said wife Hilda Kennedy forever and absolutely.
  6. I give my executors power in their discretion to retain any investments which I may have at my death and to keep unsold and landed property which I may have at my death.

WITNESS my hand at Saint John's aforesaid this 13th day of December Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and twenty six.
