PATRICK LAMBE
THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF PATRICK LAMBE of brigus in the electoral district of Port de Grave Butcher.
This is the Last Will and Testament of me, Patrick Lambe, of Brigus in the Electoral District of Port de Grave, Butcher.
- I hereby revoke all former wills at any time heretofore made by me and hereby make, publish and declare this as my Last Will and Testament.
- I appoint James P. Hearn of Brigus aforesaid, Surveyor, to be Executor of this my will.
- I declare that the moneys now on deposit in the joint names of myself and my wife, Mary Lambe, in the Bank of Nova Scotia at Bay Roberts, shall at the date of my death become the property of my wife, Mary Lambe, to be used by her for her support and maintenance during her life and at the date of her death any balance remaining shall be distributed equally among those of my children who survive her. The word "children" herein is not to include grandchildren.
- All moneys on hand at the date of my death I bequeath absolutely to my son, James Lambe.
- I devise and bequeath to my daughter, Josephine Lambe, the dwelling house now occupied by my son, James Lambe, together with the land on which the said house now stands and which is abutted and bounded as follows; North by property now owned and occupied by me; South by Brigus North Street, East by the North Brook; and, West by land owned and occupied by me. I also bequeath to my daughter, Josephine Lambe, the furniture and household utensils now in the house occupied by myself and situate on the South Side of Brigus North Street.
- I devise and bequeath to my daughter, Josephine Lambe, one half of that piece of land situate at Brigus known as the "Spracklin Property" and conveyed to me by Conveyance dated the 19th day of May A.D. 1923 which piece of land is abutted and bounded as follows; North and North West by a Road leading to James Spracklins House, Way's Estate and the estate of the late Thomas Spracklin; On the South by the aforesaid Road to Brigus North Side and estate of the late John Spracklin; On the East by Brigus North River and Estate of the late John Spracklin; and, West by the Road to Richards Whelans Estate containing in all one acre, two roads and eight and one-half perches, and more fully described in Deed with plan from late John Hearn, Surveyor, to Richard Spracklin, Planter registered in Vol 23, page 133 of the Registry of Deeds.
- I devise to my grandson Patrick, all the furniture in my bedroom at the time of my the death of my wife Mary Lambe.
- All the rest and residue of my property of which I may died possessed or which I may at the date of my death have power to dispose of by my will, I devise and bequeath to my son, James Lambe, absolutely.
SIGNED by the said Testator as and for his Last
Will and Testament this 27th day of February A.D.
1929 in the presence of us, both present at the same time,
who at his request, in his presence, and in the presence
of each other have signed our names as witnesses.
