Will of Peter L'Estrange Last will and Testament of This is the last will and testament of me Peter L’Estrange of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Impounder and caretaker of fish markets. I devise and bequeath unto my wife Bridget L’Estrange all my leasehold property consisting of one dwelling house and land situate on the Northside of Pleasant Street now occupied by me together with all my household furniture of every description and all other property to which I shall or may be entitled to at the time of my decease. And I appoint my said wife Bridget L’Estrange sole Executrix of this my will hereby revoking all other testamentary writings. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John’s aforesaid this twenty sixth day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight (sgd) peter his X mark L’Estrange. Signed by the said testator Peter L’Estrange as and for his last will and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses, the same having been first read over and explained to him.
