Will of William Lewis from Newfoundland will books volume 5 pages 173-174 probate year 1888. Last will and Testament of I William Lewis of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland Pilot being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind do make this my last will and testament. I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Lewis all my property that I shall die possessed of (except as hereinafter mentioned) for and during the natural term of her life and after the decease of my said wife Elizabeth Lewis I give devise and bequeath unto my son Charles Lewis the property situate on Gower Street with the dwelling house thereon I give devise and bequeath unto my sons Frederick and Eusebius Lewis the property situate in Hoyles Town in equal shares but of the hundred pounds in the bank I give devise and bequeath fifty pounds to my son William Henry Lewis twenty five pounds to my sons Michael Lewis and Richard Lewis and twenty five pounds to my daughter Elizabeth Vinnicombe. To my son Charles Lewis I give my two pilot boats and the appurtenances to be his immediately after my death. All my household furniture and other property and all monies which may be in the house or now due to me I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Lewis for her own sole and separate use.
