Will of Thomas Malone from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 268 probate year 1928 In re DECEASED. This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Malone of St. John's Cooper.
I revoke all former wills by me at any time made, and I appoint Edward Furlong of St. John's Police Sergeant, the executor of this my will. I will and direct
that my just debts and my funeral and testamentary expenses shall be first
paid out of my estate. I give and bequeath all the property of whatsoever kind
I may die possessed to my said executor in trust to sell and dispose of the
same and out of the proceeds thereof to first pay my debts as above provided
then to expend the sum of twenty five dollars for masses for the repose of
the souls of my father and my mother, my wife and myself, and my brother Maurice and his wife Hannah, then to pay fifty dollars to Margaret Brien, sister of
my late wife and twenty five dollars to my nephew James Malone's widow of Gormans
Lane. The balance then remaining to be divided into six equal shares and one
share each to be paid to my children Catherine, Teresa, Gertrude, Madeline,
Ita, and Maurice. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at
St. John's aforesaid this fifteenth day of September AD. 1923. CORRECT (Listed in the margin next to this will the following)
