Last will and testament of
Anne Manning of St. John's
widow deceased

This is my last will and testament of me Anne Manning of St. John's Newfoundland July 11th 1889. I direct all my just debts funeral expenses be paid and satisfied by my     hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I wish all my outstanding debts to be gathered in. I give and bequeath to my nieces Anne Lawlor my house which I now live in with furniture and stock except until my business is settled that is as soon as possible than Anne Lawlor is to have this house and business with all that remain unmolested when all my bills is settled.
I bequeath to my brother Thomas Summers one hundred pounds. To my sister Elizabeth Boggan one hundred pounds. To Elizabeth Dunphy one hundred pounds with bed and bedding. I leave to my nephew John Summers fifteen pounds. To Michael Lawlor fifteen. To Thomas Summers junior fifteen pounds. To John Boggan junior fifteen pounds under his mothers control. To Patrick Scot twenty pounds, to Mrs. Price fifteen pounds. To Mrs. Skinner 20 M. Skinner 15£ I leave for high mass 12£ To Fr. Scot 5£ To Fr. Ryan 5 myself and husband 10£ for masses. Patrick Manning 20. James Manning 20£ Fr. Forristal 5. (Sgd) Annie Manning July 19 : 1889. (Sgd) Eleanor M. Scott (sgd) Mrs. Anne Price.
Codicil to my will and testament. Out of moneys deposited in Union Bank the balance of the purchase money of the house called Eales is to be paid for the use of my niece Johanna Lawlor. I appoint my niece Anne Lawlor to be my residuary legatee. I appoint Patrick J. Scott to be executor of my will and testament and this codicil and I hereby confirm the bequests named in my will on the ?? sheets of paper signed by me and in presence of Anne Price and Eleanor M. Scott. (Sgd) Anne Manning. Signed published and declared by Anne Manning in presence of us who in presence of each other and of testatrix and at her request signed as attesting witnesses. (Sgd) Eleanor M. Scott. (Sgd) Anne Price.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and testament and codicil of Anne Manning deceased.
