from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 4-5 probate year 1927

In re
     EBENEZER MARCH OF EDGAR.     DECEASED.

I, Ebenezer March (of Edgar) of Green's Harbour in the Electoral District of Trinity, Planter, Farmer, do make, publish and declare this as and for my last Will and Testament.

  1. I hereby revoke and declare null and void all other and former Wills by me made.

  2. I will and direct that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as possible after my death.

  3. I appoint my son, Victor March of Green's Harbour aforesaid to be the Executor and trustee of this my Will.

  4. I give and devise all my lands and premises at Green's Harbour and elsewhere unto my son, Victor March for his sole use and benefit, save as hereinafter provided.

  5. I give and devise unto my said son Victor as Executor and Trustee of this my Will, my dwelling house at Green's Harbour aforesaid and the lands surrounding the same to a distance of forty (40 feet from each side thereof, upon the following trusts:-

    •       To the use and benefit of my wife, Emma Jane March and my daughters, Gladys Rhoda March and Mina March subject to the limitations hereinafter contained, that is to say:-

    •       Upon the death or marriage of either of them, her interest shall be held by my said Executor for the use and benefit of the other two and upon the death or marriage of either of the other two, her interest shall be held by my said Executor for the use and benefit of the remaining one, and upon the death or marriage of the remaining one, my said Executor shall hold the interests of all three for his own use and benefit absolutely.

  6. All the rest, residue and remainder of my said estate including all goods and chattels and moneys in hand or in Bank or otherwise invested, I give and bequeath unto the said Executor and Trustee, upon trust, to collect, get in and convert the same into money and to divide the same equally between my said wife Emma Jane, my said daughter Gladys Rhoda my said daughter Mina and himself, share and share alike, that is to say, one fourth part thereof to each.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand at Green's Harbour aforesaid this 16th day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty six.

Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses at Green's Harbour aforesaid this 16th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty six.
