In the name of God Amen. I Patrick McDonald of Portugal Cove Road in the Central District of Newfoundland Farmer being of sound mind memory and understanding do make publish and declare as and for my last will and Testament, this paper writing
I bequeath unto my son Martin McDonald eight acres of land now in his possession and occupied by him with the house thereon. I bequeath to Peter McDonald my son eight acres of land from my fence to James MacDonalds, and joining Martin McDonald & John McDonald's land and Bradeys path. Also the stable & barn joining each other belonging to me. John McDonald is to have the remainder of the land now in his possession and occupied by him and the horse, carts, and catamaran and my two cows, the house I live in, I also bequeath to John McDonald as also the horses stable, also the household furniture

I appoint Martin McDonald and James Walsh executors of this my last will and Testament and I revoke all other wills made by me and declare this to be my last will and Testament.

Signed published and declared as and for my last will & testament in the presence of us the undersigned and in the present of each other having been first read over and explained to Patrick McDonald. Dated at St. John's in the Island of Nfld. This 23rd day of June A.D. 1887. Patrick X McDonald his mark. Signed published and declared in the presence of us and of each other. R. J. Parsons attorney at Law W. S. McGrath.
