Last Will and Testament of
Roger McGrath of St. John's
Gentleman deceased.
In the name of God Amen. I Roger McGrath of
St. John's being in my proper senses now make declare and affirm this to be
my last will & testament I appoint Patrick Kennedy Junior as
executor.
1st I give devise and bequeath to my son Rev. J. J. McGrath of Villa
Nova all my property as follows. Freehold of wooden tenement dwellings situate
on LeMarchant Rd. St. John's leased property 1 double tenement house on Hamilton
Street on the corner of Power's St. on ground belonging to the late Jas.
Harvey.
1 wooden house with shop situate on Hamilton St. on ground belonging to estate
late D. Sullivan
2ndly All the residue of my estate in money in the
Savings Bank. 3rd I appoint the said Revd J. J. McGrath sole heir of my estate,
and the same will collect all amounts due and pay all lawful bills due by the
Testator. (Sgd) Roger McGrath. We declare the above to be the last will & Testament
of the signed and made in his and our presence and in the presence of each
other. (Sgd) Patrick Kennedy. (Sgd) John Carroll. Dated at St. John's fifth
day of Decr 1893.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct
copy of the last will and Testament of Roger McGrath deceased
