Last will and Testament
of Patrick McNamara
late of St. John's Fisherman Deceased
.

This is the last will and testament of me Patrick McNamara of St. John's Newfoundland Fisherman. First I give devise and bequeath to the Right Reverend Bishop Power D.D. or his successor in office the sum of twenty dollars for masses for my soul. Second I give devise and bequeath to the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Girls Orphanage the sum of twenty dollars. Third I give devise and bequeath all the residue and remainder of my estate consisting of leasehold houses on land belonging to John Casey Esquire and Thompson's Estate also money in the Newfoundland Savings Bank amounting at this present time to the sum of eight hundred and forty dollars and ????? and interest accruing thereon. Also all my house hold furniture and effects, as well as any other monies that I may be possessed of at the time of my death to my executor hereinafter named in trust for my grandchild Patrick Trewlett son of Peter and Mary Ann Trewlett of Salmonier Newfoundland until he shall attain twenty one years. It is my further will and desire that with the exception of the monies in the said Saving's Bank and the interest accumulating thereon the rest of my estate can be paid to the said Patrick Trewlett before he attains the age of twenty one years, if my executor may deem it prudent to do so. Lastly I hereby appoint Augustus O. Hayward of St. John's Newfoundland, Queens Counsel sole executor of this my last will and Testament.
In witness whereof I the said Patrick McNamara have hereunto set my hand at St. John's afsd. this twenty ninth day of July A.D. 1885 Patrick McNamara (L.S.) Signed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who at his request in our presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as witnesses on the day and year and place above written.
