Last will and Testament
of Edwin Miller late of
St. John's Deceased.

This is my last will and Testament. I Edwin Miller of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland being of sound mind and memory, but knowing the uncertainty of this life do make this last will and Testament hereby removing all former wills and Testaments. First I give and bequeath to my wife all my household furniture. Second. I give and bequeath to my son Walter Reginald Miller all my interest in two dwelling houses; one on Boncloddy St. valued at say ($160) one hundred and sixty, the other at Lime St and ?? St West valued at say ($100.00) one hundred dollars my wish is that those houses be either sold or rented as the executors may direct, besides this I direct that all cash in the Government savings Bank shall go to the support and education of my son, after paying all my debts and funeral expenses, should anything happen my wife my wish is that my son should be placed in the hands of some reliable person who shall look after his education and support, if no reliable person can be had then my wish is that he be placed in the Church of England orphanage anyway he is to be brought up a member of the Church of England. I further appoint Mr. Mark Chaplin and Mr. John Coffin as my executors to this my last will and Testament Edwin Miller (L.S.) Sealed signed and delivered in the presence of John A. Hughes Walter Clouston at St. John's Nfld. 25^th May 1889.
