Will of William Mullowney
from Newfoundland will books volume 13 page 426 probate year 1926

In re
      WILLIAM MULLOWNEY.     DECEASED.

In the name of God Amen.

I William Mullowney of Holyrood Farmer being very sick and weak but of perfect mind and memory and knowing its appointed for all men once to die do make this my last will and testament. First I give my soul to the Almighty who gave it and my body to be buried in decent christian burying ground and as touching such worldly goods as it had pleased God to grant me I give devise and bequeath of the same in the following manner and form.

I give and bequeath to my beloved son Patrick all the property comprising of House Barn Cellar and out houses. Also the land I possess and bounded as follows North by Philip Mullowney S.W. by James Mullowney N. W. by the grave yard and R. J. Kennedy. The Carts Slide and all other implements are also the property of my son Patrick. After my death a certain amount of furnishings now in the House belongs to my son William and he is to have possession of them peaceably at whatever time he desires. The yearling Heifer Calf also belongs to my son William to be disposed of as he thinks proper. The old Cow and young Calf is to be sold for the benefit of my soul and my beloved wife. Patrick to have the preference to buy. The money in the house is to be used for my burial if any balance it is to have Masses for myself and wife. Bride my daughter is to have a home as long as she needs it.

I certify this to be my last will and testament and hereby appoint R. J. Kennedy to be my Executor.

Dated at St Johns this 5th day of August one thousand nine hundred and Eighteen.
