Will of Mary Murray from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 160 probate year 1927 In re This is the last Will and testament of me, Mary Murray, formerly of Boston in the United States of America but now residing at St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Widow, made the 15th day of September Anno Domini One thousand nine hundred and twenty four. I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made. I appoint Michael Myrick of St. John's aforesaid, Undertaker, to be the Executor of this my will. I give devise and bequeath to my nephew John Murphy the sum of fifty dollars and to my niece Helen Murphy my gold watch. I direct that the sum of twenty dollars shall be expended in celebrating Masses for the repose of my soul. All the rest residue and remainder of my property I give devise and bequeath to my two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Maley, wife of Patrick Maley and Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy, wife of Patrick Murphy, share and share alike. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my Will the day and year first above written. MARY MURRAY. Signed published and declared by the above named Murray as and for her last Will and Testament in our presence both being present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
