Patrick Crowley - Michael Furey

 

Memorial of a deed poll bearing date at Salmon Cove Gastors the twentieth day of January A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, whereby Patrick Crowley of Harbour Main in Conception Bay fisherman, in consideration of the sum of five pounds currency to him in hand paid by William, John, James, Charles and Michael Furey of Salmon Cove Gastors fisherman the receipt of which was acknowledged, did present grant, bargain sell assign release and confirm unto the said William, John, James, Charles and Michael Furey thereon reins executors administrators and assigns a certain piece or parcel of land situate and lying at Salmon Cove Gastors in the District of Harbour Main and measuring on the South by the wood path twenty chains; on the West by waste land measuring seven chains; on the North by waste land measuring nine chains; on the East by John Major and the said William John James Charles and Michael Furey's land and measuring eight chains more or less and all and singular the premises hereinbefore bargained or mentioned do to be with all rights members and appearances hereunto the said William John James Charles and Michael Furey their reins administrator and assigns forever consonant for good tithe.

Witness Wm. Holden. Receipt for five pound currency. Newfoundland. Harbour Main.

William Holden of Harbour Main in the Northern District of Newfoundland dealer maketh oath and saith that he was present and did see Patrick Crawley the grantor in the annexed deed named duly sign seal and deliver the same. Wm. Holden. Sworn to before me this sixth day of February A.D. 1865. Patrick Strapp. J.P.

I hereby certify that the execution of the deed poll of which the foregoing is a memorial by Patrick Crawley grantor party hereto appear by the affidavit of William Holden endorsed thereon to have been proved before Patrick Strapp J. P. on the sixth day of February A.D. 1865. The said deed was deposited with me for registration on the seventh day of February A.D. 1865 at 4 o'clock p.m. and a correct memorial of the same and a copy of the affidavit of proof thereof are hereby duly registered by me this day.

Given under my hand this fourteenth day of February A.D. 1865.
