Will of Duncan Parsons from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 17 probate year 1929

IN RE                              DECEASED.
DUNCAN PARSONS
.

I, DUNCAN PARSONS, of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, being of a sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and Testament.
First: I give and bequeath to my Wife, Rachel Ann Parsons, my House, Furniture, and chattel property of every kind and nature used in connection with our residence.
Second: I also bequeath to my said Wife all my Land, consisting of: - meadow, kitchen-garden, with barn erected thereon, all my cattle and farming implements. And also my interest in a piece of Land situated on the hill in Bear's Cove.
Third: I desire that all the above-named property belong to my said wife, Rachel, for her natural life, and after her death to revert to my daughter, Gertie Parsons.
Fourth: In the event of my said daughter, Gertie Parsons, dying before my said wife, it is my will and desire that all the aforesaid property be held by my wife absolutely.
Fifth: And, I do hereby constitute and appoint my said wife, Rachel Ann Parsons, sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof, I, DUNCAN PARSONS, the testator, have to this, my will, written on one sheet of paper, set my hand this NINTH day of July, A.D. One thousand Nine hundred and Twenty Six.
