Last will and Testament
of Revd John S. Peach

The last will and testament of the Revd John Sanford Peach. In the name of the Almighty God. I John Sanford Peach being in good health and sound in mind do this day the twenty fourth of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety one do make my last will and testament. I give myself into the hands of my Almighty Creator, spirit soul and body to dispose of according to his Almighty will and in the sure trust and confidence in his mercy and in the full confidence of faith in Jesus Christ my Redeemer and Saviour in the hope of Eternal Life. As to the disposal of my earthly affairs as follows. First I give to my daughter Maria Jane Nicholl. Twenty nine shares consolidated stock in Northern Pacific Rail Road New York. Second to my son George Edward eight hundred dollars in lieu of a house this amount has been paid. Third to my son Henry Bottenell eight hundred dollars in lieu of a house. Fourth to my son Arthur Buchannan the house and property at Harbor Rock Hill. Fifth to my son James B. Boyce the farm with stock and household furniture thereon. Sixth to my daughter Anna Bertha Guy two bonds of one thousand dollars each Northern Pacific Rail Road New York. To my son George Edward I also give twelve hundred dollars. To my son Henry Bottenell twelve hundred dollars. To my son Arthur Buchanan twelve hundred dollars. To my son James B. Boyce twelve hundred dollars to George Apsey Nicholl I give one hundred dollars. To William Guy Junior I give one hundred dollars. If in the winding up of my estate there is not sufficient to meet the forty eight hundred dollars above named there is to be a pro rata reduction and if on the other hand there is more than sufficient to pay the forty eight hundred and two hundred following then the balance is to be equally divided between my six children. The chest of drawers in my bedroom I give to my daughter Maria the small chest of drawers I give to my daughter Anna Bertha, my books to be divided in six equal lots and a lot given to each of my six children under the direction of my executors Bensons Commentary (six vols) and Websters Dictionary (two vols) to be left at the farm. I give to my two executors the sum of fifty dollars each. I hereby appoint the Revd. Robert Wright Freeman and Alfred Mayne Peters as my executors. John Peach. Signed in the presence of John C.
